Help Save Our Lighthouse

We are currently in the process of gathering signatures to save the Conover Beacon, formerly known as the Point Comfort Light, and have it moved back to Keansburg.

The Point Comfort Light was moved from Keansburg to Leonardo by the US Coast Guard in 1941 and replaced the wooden tower on the old Conover Light. It was deactivated in 1988 and is in major disrepair. See the photos below.

In January 2007 it appeared on the Lighthouse Digest Doomsday List. The article notes the lack of care and deterioration of our beloved light.
